Best for taste new dishes. Main dish ( lamb ) highly recommended, herbs & soft bites. Even not really like those kind dishes, but will return few weeks after or friends visit us , good place for slow eat & chatting.
My partner and I saw a deal come up on Groupon for 12 mezze dishes. Having not been here before we were intrigued to give this a try and it was a great introduction to their menu. We had 6 cold mezze which included a range of dips, olives and hummus with warm breads, and 6 hot mezze which include calamari, falafel, spring rolls and chorizo. The food was so very flavoursome, and a great amount for two people.
Amazing service and delicious food. We had the bbq wings and ribs with a bowl of lentil soup for starters. The bbq sauce was delicious and the meat was cooked to perfection. Our mains were lamb iskender and adana beyti with chips. We ended with kadayif with turkish coffee and tea. Will definitely be back…can’t believe I’ve never been here before. Reasonably priced and totally worth it.

Turkish restaurateur, Faruk Günay, and his Sheffield-born wife Ruth, welcome you to Lokanta in Broomhill where they are proud to present contemporary Turkish food, wine and hospitality. The couple ran a beachfront bar and restaurant on the Turkish Mediterranean coast before swapping the sunshine for Ruth’s home city of Sheffield. In Turkey, their love of good food and hospitality was shared year-round with locals and holidaymakers alike. Lokanta is Turkish for neighbourhood restaurant, and the aim at ours is to bring the best of modern Turkey to the table in South Yorkshire. It goes without saying we do the shopping ourselves and cook everything from scratch in our Broomhill kitchen.

We had a fabulous dinner for 8. The food was delicious – portions were generous. There was plenty of choice for vegetarians. The chef/proprietor ensured that all the dishes came out at the same time. We were delightfully served by Alice. We’d like to return.

For mains we shared a meat platter, more than enough food and already came with rice and potatoes, the sausage was amazing along with the lamb chop, the chicken was a little dry however everything else was fab. The lady we had serve our table was lovely also and attentive. Would definitely go back.

Fantastic little Turkish meze spot with the best falafel. The Albanian lambs liver and oven baked prawns are a favourite.

Tried this place for the first time, was not disappointed. Amazing quality ordered chicken and lamb skewers and chicken and lamb meatballs. The chicken and lamb was cooked to perfection. The hummus was really good quality. The only downside was the chips which were overcooked. Thanks to the staff for accommodating us when they were very busy.
Have been wanting to try Jimmy’s Kitchen for a while and it did not disappoint! One of the best food in Sheffield. Bread is light and flavourful, Pide tasted amazing-light and refreshing, ambiance is homely and service was excellent. Would recommend.
Tik tok bought me here after seeing the video and I’m not disappointed was pleased to me the owner Jimmy and have a chat with him about his career in the food restaurants and his unique dishes, in the pictures is a mix grill and a in-house chicken mushroom and cheese sauce. Overall brilliant food and restaurant would recommend as it not overprice for the quality of food.
