What We Offer:

La Vaca is an independent, family run restaurant. Rodrigo our chief ‘asador’ is from Chile in South America. He and wife Gloria wanted to bring a taste of the fabulous steak restaurants of Chile and Argentina to the UK. We use only the best quality beef from local, Yorkshire farms and cook it over an open charcoal grill, as is the way in South America. We like to keep the atmosphere true to its roots playing mainly Latin American music. Experience our refreshed restaurant menu in warmth and comfort. All our classic cuts are hand cut by our expert chefs on-site, so you can have your steak as big as you like.

I came with a friend, just the two of us at a table. We actually came here quite soon after it opened many years ago now. This time it was Wednesday evening and quite busy. The guy serving us was friendly and polite, gave us time to chat before ordering.
Great dinner with excellent services! The porterhouse steak and pork ribs were amazing.
Possibly the best steak I’ve ever had. We really appreciated the description of each cut of meat and serving suggestions on the menu,

The staff were very knowledgeable and helpful. We had a coeliac (needs complete gluten free) in our party and they were very knowledgeable and allergen aware and answered most questions but just checked the 1 thing he wasn’t sure of (which is a lot better than guessing.

Went on a Saturday evening, quite busy on arrival but a few available tables. Unfortunately we were seated just outside the toilets with no other diners so the atmosphere was lacking as well as distracting having a large amount of people walk past (no smell though or I would have asked to move).
Delicious food and great service! The menu made me want to try everything. I ended up having the steak and prawns. Pricey but amazing! The steak just melted in my mouth. The others in my party had the duck and both said it was perfect. Broomhill is turning out to be Sheffield’s best food quarter.

I had goats cheese wrapped in parma ham and the Surf and Turf Sirloin Steak.

Ingredients were very high quality steaks were very soft and nicely done.
