Been coming here since I was a child and the shop was half the size it is now. Family ran business with knowledgable, friendly staff who are full of warmth and character. Wouldn’t ever go anywhere else for my glasses.
I have used Birds opticians several times and always successfully. Twice they have replaced damaged lenses in frames I already owned and this has worked very well. I have also purchased prescription sunglasses. The staff are pleasant and professional. Excellent information provision and sympathetic advice. Highly recommended.

Had such a lovely experience choosing a pair of glasses with these guys – they were super friendly and helpful, gave recommendations and were very patient while my friend and I spent about an hour trying pretty much every frame in the shop! The glasses came speedily, and when I managed to lose one of the nose pads from the frame a couple of months later they sorted me out with a new one no problem. Can’t recommend highly enough, I’m a convert and will be back when I next need an eye test.
The people at Eyeye couldn’t be more helpful and friendly but, more importantly, they allow ample time and are extremely thorough with your eye health as well as eye tests. They have all the latest equipment and the optician showed me the photographs of the back and front of my eye and explained everything very clearly.

Popped in to ask if they’d out my glasses back together re missing screw. They couldn’t have more helpful and didn’t ask for a penny!!! Please know that I ruined my glasses by learning on them – I hadn’t purchased them from there – they are old old glasses!! Lovely lovely people.

Exceptional service from Simon Mann in clinic. Polite and professional manner, very thorough and accurate testing of my eyes with clear instruction. I felt well listened to with my symptoms, which feels rare these days, and we deduced together through sound logic and reason the appropriate way forward. Very happy to recommend.
