The Manor House Hotel

What We Offer:

The Manor House is a beautiful 15th century Grade II listed building, abundant in character & charm, and is located in the heart of the historic market town of Dronfield, Derbyshire. We are also perfectly situated as a base to explore the wonderful scenery of The Peak District & only a short drive into the city of Sheffield or Chesterfield. The building itself was sympathetically renovated, re-designed & re-styled in 2009, and mixes the contemporary with the traditional to stunning effect. There is a delightful traditional bar area with original stone walls, wooden beams, styled seating areas, quirky picture windows & a stone fire-place, and is popular destination for locals & guests alike. The Manor also has its own large private car park at the rear of the property with additional free parking located a very short walk away in the town centre. The rustically styled café lounge opens & serves breakfast from 7am weekdays (8am weekends) until noon, and is also open all day every day for teas, coffees & hot drinks, plus a wide selection of cakes, bakes, scones, other tempting treats. It’s the perfect comfortable space to wind down & take a break during a hectic day.

Comfortable and clean with everything needed for making tea/coffee (plus one cup of hot chocolate), TV, iron and board, rail and coat hangers, en suite shower and toilet with hand and bath towels, bath mat and sachets of shampoo and body wash (though the shower’s hot water took 3 min to work). There was a desk, chair and bedside table. The bed was comfortable for me, with two pillows so you can choose a tall or flatter pillow.

The room was well equipped and the bed was comfy ,I had 2 good nights sleep ,the only issue’s I had im 6ft2 and felt i was crouching down as the ceiling was very low and the water just trickled out of the shower .

Very clicky, bar staff unfriendly,unless you are in a click that sits in a corner , swearing and being rude. Feel sorry for people staying in the hotel. ‘ The click’ sit there swearing in front of children and guests, nothing is said because they bring a regular income. Years ago staff was lovely, no idiots. Please avoid.

Homey. Cheery. Simple. The Don Valley is a classic pub with a cafe and rooms. Good taps, screens, tables and games. Nothing fancy. Just old fashioned service. It’s a family joint and they’re all very kind! I was doing a tour of the UK, stopped in for the night, and everyone at the pub was welcoming. They showed me how to get around, and told me where to go. Highly recommend.

You cannot get a good nights sleep. Rooms are above the pub which I accept. However, They kept the amplified music playing til early morning.
Didn’t get a decent night’s sleep at this hotel. Avoid if you can!

We got put here with the council and we have stopped in loads of hotels and These go above and beyond! They listen and care about who’s staying if you have a problem they address it and make your stay perfect if you need anything ask them they are friendly and nice the foods 10-10 it is a pub and there is a dog 🐶 (very cute most placid dog ever) Stopped in many hotels as said this place is clean comfortable I can’t fault them so I don’t know how anyone else has! We did not pay to stay here the council did for us but I would pay to stop here and Would stop here again if I’m in sheffield. There’s no car park but free parking literally opposite it only downfall I could possibly give this place

The hotel is situated in an absolutely amazing building, I love the fact that they’ve managed to keep the history of the building within the hotel and included items and photos from when this was a school! the staff were very friendly and gave me and my partner a very warm welcome as we entered. the hotel was exceptionally clean. our room was on the lower ground floor and was very clean as well. the room was a decent size and the bed was very comfy. will definitely be coming back again,

Me and my boyfriend stayed here for his birthday this weekend and had a lovely stay. The bed was amazing comfy and the location was fantastic as it were so close to everything we wanted to do. The hot chocolates were amazing and the £5 gift voucher instead of using house cleaning was a nice touch. The air con was perfect as well and despite being in the city centre and near restaurants we slept amazing and couldn’t hear any outside noise. We also visited the Botanist during our stay and the discount for the meal due to staying in the hotel was fantastic as well as the parking discount reducing the cost by a significant amount. Would definitely stay here again, if in Sheffield.

Stayed here for a night before seeing a show in Sheffield. The room was amazing, we stayed in one of the Mezzanine Suites. Definitely an experience having your room go 2 levels. The bed was big and comfy and is probably one of the largest rooms every stayed in.
