We are passionate about helping people to train and understand their canine companion using kind and force-free techniques. We use positive reinforcement with a strong emphasis on animal welfare combined with in-depth knowledge of dog behaviour and training. We do not condone or use physical corrections or aversive equipment such as choke chains, prong collars, rattle cans or slip leads. Our classes and 1-1 lessons are fun, informal and enjoyable for you and your dog. I have attended training with People and Dogs with both of my Dogs, 1 was 15 years ago (she’s still going strong) and most recently with our new dog. Honestly wouldn’t go anywhere else. Friendly and positive training methods that resulted in 2 well behaved happy Dogs 🐕.
We are the proud owners of our rescue dog Winnie . She arrived with a few issues the main one her being aggressive towards other dogs and people.Taking her out was a real nightmare we had no control over her,she would try to attack any dog that came in sight.Jenny was our saviour she came highly recommended and even then I was skeptic that anyone could help Winnie.With loads of patience and knowledge
Highly recommend people and dogs! Have just completed the puppy life skills class and couldn’t resist signing up to the intermediates. Jenny was amazing, approachable and so very patient! We loved making friends and would definitely recommend to anyone looking for dog training. Thank you.

Booked four 121 lessons for myself and Nelle my daughters lovely cockerpoo. Pia was amazing. I can honestly say I learned loads. Nelle is doing so well with the hints and tips we were given. Did an introductory Scent work training. Despite the 3 hour drive to get there it was well worth it. The expectations have been met and look forward to the next step.

I came to Neil due to his invaluable experience with our breed of dog, being a GSD. Our first session however was with Pia, where Pia introduced us to the foundations to put in place before we then had a session with Neil. On our most recent session we had a home visit from Neil which was a game changer..
