What We Offer:

This Victorian property is next to Sheffield Wednesday Football Clup Hillsborugh Stadium, a casino, Sheffield Speedway and a modern leisure centre. Trams into the city centre are a 5-minute walk away, whilst the scenery of the Peak District is a 10-minute drive. All of the bright, colourful rooms have a TV, free tea and coffee making facilities, wash basin. Fluffy towels are provided. Some rooms have a private bathroom whilst others share bathroom facilities. The ALARA B&B has been successfully running for the last nineteen years (Since 2002) and we would like to extend our homely welcome to you. ALARA is a family run bed & breakfast that is nestled on the A61 North also known as Penistone Road between the Sheffield Wednesday Football Stadium and the Hillsborough park, the park is ideal for that early morning run before breakfast or a game of tennis (weather permitting).

We stayed a night over the weekend. In the madness of packing we forgot our sons glasses in the room. Instead of just putting them in lost property they took the time to call us and post them back to us with no fuss. It’s things like this that mean the world.
Great staff and seriously comfy bed, showers were a bit underpowered and stairs were seriously steep.
It was brilliant, Mehmet was so welcoming and friendly. Went above and beyond to help us, even making up a new room on the ground floor cause my dad struggles with stairs (the stairs are very steep here). Nothing was too much trouble and very reasonably priced. We will definitely next time we visit Sheffield. Thank you for a wonderful stay ❤️

Vivienne is such a lovely host, very welcoming and helpful and made us the best breakfast we’ve ever had at a bnb! The room was clean and comfy and had a big sized bath tub to relax in after a long day! What a great treat it was to stay there and we look forward to coming back soon.
Very high standard accommodation in glorious setting. Excellent breakfast provided with plenty of choice. The staff was very friendly and Vivienne Taylor the owner/ manager made us welcome.
Staying at Underleigh House is a real treat. The location is ideal, our suite (Derwent) was very comfortable and spacious and Vivienne is the perfect host. From arrival to departure we were very well looked after, for example being offered a tea tray in the lounge on return from days out. The breakfast is second to none in terms of choice and quality, an experience in itself.

We had a beautiful stay in Hayloft the superly comfortable bed was very big with quality linen. The room was spacious it has everything you need attention to detail has been truly considered here even down to the fresh hand picked home grown flowers. The home made cakes waiting in our room were divine. The breakfast by Alex was delicious and we enjoyed a lovely morning chat with Rachel about chickens.
Can’t recommend enough. Owners lovely. Rooms well appointed and spotlessly clean. Beautiful location. Animals lovely. Breakfast delicious and huge choice. Lots of lovely nearby walks. Very peaceful. Already working out when we can go back 😀
Absolutely amazing B&B, very luxurious and the perfect getaway. Breakfast was amazing and could be served as a hamper to your room. Service couldn’t have been better, rooms immaculate and location very peaceful. Booked again and cannot wait!
