I have just completed the two day MHFA course. It was great to do a face to face course, following my previous online course. It allowed for interacting with like minded people and helped to build my confidence. Thank you to Bianca for her time and help.

What We Offer:

Established over thirty years ago, Bristol Hospital Education Service is an educational provision designed to support young people who are unable to access mainstream education because of medical needs. Our aim and purpose is to reduce the impact that chronic illness or being a young parent has on students life chances. We provide education to students when their illness or the demands of being a young parent stops them from attending their on roll school. We work in partnership with health, education and social care colleagues to deliver coordinated intervention plans. Our goal for all of our students is that they return to their on roll school as soon as possible.

Just completed the Mental Health First Aid course and it was incredibly useful. Suzanne the presenter was incredibly informative and knowledgeable, making me feel much more confident about assisting someone experiencing mental health issues.
I’ve been using the services at Bristol Mind for some year’s now, and I need to mention my advocate worker Tom Hire who is the director at Bristol Mind and Claire and Sophie Jenson and many others.
